Wan Qi and the three little kittens

We saw three kitten at the void deck of my mum's flat so we brought Wan Qi to see them.
They were so adorable and yet pitiful as it was raining dogs and cats that night. Wan Qi suggested adopting them but I said cant as we have Milky and Milky will bite them. Can t imagine Wan Qi bringing stray cats back home next time which was what I did when I was young. I was telling my mum that day that I must given her so many headaches to my mum last time as I always bring stray cats, dogs, tortoise, tadpoles(not knowing they will turn to frogs) , water snails, goldfish back home. My mum just laugh. How noble of my mum to tolerate me. haha I will definitely not tolerate that. But Xihong said he will if Wan Qi really want to have a cat. He really pampered her. :>

My mum saved another new born bird

My mum always have the luck to save new born birds. That day, she saved another yellow new born birdie. Wan Qi was very excited and she even tried to build her a nest with a plastic bowl that she had found. She then put some papers inside the bowl. Good Idea as the bid actually poo on the paper and we just throw the papers away. This time round we cautioned my dad not to overfeed the bird. Cos eveytime, my mum saved a bird, my dad will be the one who will fed dilligently to the bird. Too diligent in fact and in the end, the bird is being overfed and die. However, this time round the new born bird could not survive too. My dad said he watched a documentary show and it was shown that new born birds actually need their mummies to feed them with saliva if not they cant survive.

Moe's Family Day @Zoo

Here we are at the kangaroo's home sweet home.
Wan Qi is able to say that the baby kangaroo is called a joey. She added
that is just like sesame street'zoe. Yaya just that they are written differently.

Tata our end product with the colourful hello kitty.

A family photo with The under nourished MOE pooh bear. :)

We went to the zoo on 22may organised by MOE. We arrived there early in the morning at 9am as Xihong need to get back to SCGS for their open house.

The weather was quite ok. WE were afraid that it will rain at first. It did rain but fortunately we were at the pavillion enjoying our KFC lunch. After that we went to the fragile forest which we had missed previously.

While we were at the pavillion, I signed up Wan Qi for the sand craft. Oh my gosh, Mummy and Wan qi were very lousy in that. In the end, the end product was quite untidy. The hello kitty space had white black and red sand:P.

We took a picture with the pooh bear. It was taken by my ex classmate at NIE, li ling. Coincidently, her son was seated with Wan Qi when they were doing the sand craft.

Overall, it was quite a fun trip for the whole family. Wan Qi even get to go up to the stage to do an impromptu singing.

Wan Qi s First Sport's Day

Last Friday 23May 2010 was Wan Qi's first sports day. Unfortunately, I need to be in school so I cant go and support her. However, my mum went. My dad wanted to go too but he was not feeling well so my mum went alone.
My mum helped me to take some photographs and even video recorded their sports day but as there were too many people so it was not filmed very well.
Wan Qi told me she did some hopscotch and zig jaw. It was a very short item for her. In the end, she nearly fell asleep. In the end, her teacher Mrs Loong went over to her. She woke up and told the teacher she was just pretending to faint and laughed????? My little Wanqi - she is always so chicky even to her teacher.
The teacher told my mum about this incident and said that it's really a bit boring for the little ones as they have to sit there for 2.5hours watching their brothers and sisters thats why Wan Qi fell asleep. But she told my mum that Wan Qi is very independent. She knows exactly what is expected of her and can perform her task very well.
I am relieved to hear that. Anyway after she went to her school, I could see the immediate change in her. She stopped scolding her stuff toys. In fact, now she will act like a big sister and will wrap you round the shoulder when she wants to ask you a question. This I believe is the way how her teacher talked to her. :) In fact, all her teachers are very kind. Her chinese teacher will give them a rub on the head and body before letting them come out of the aircon classrooms (witnessed by my mum)
And when Wan Qi has anything nice, she will want to give to her teachers just like when she is in Dayspring. :>

Does Wan Qi look like a baker?

This is Wan Qi's new uniform. Does she look like a baker? When Wan Qi first wore this set of uniform, Xihong teased her, saying she looked like a baker.
Last week, I went to the hospital to do my checkup so I was able to send Wan Qi to school together with my mum and dad. It was a surprise for Wan Qi. I was in Bus 51 and I called my mum to wait till I board Bus 51. So when Wan Qi saw me in Bus 51, she was overjoyed. I was very happy too, to be able to send her to school with both my parents.

Wan Qi in Princess costume

We did this crazy shot back then when she was 3. I used my handphone to take pictures so I delayed until today then I posted up as I was too lazy. :P
Hee doesnt she look lovely, my little Wan Qi. Actually , we were in a fitting room. As Xihong went to buy ink at Sim Lim s Square, I decided to bring Wan Qi to OG as its quite boring to go to Sim Lim. Then I had a crazy idea.
To dress up Wan Qi as Snow White and Cinderalle in the fitting room and take pictures for her. Of course, I didnt buy the costume. They each cost $149.90. EXXXXXX

Brought my mum and dad to Jing Restaurant @ 1fullerton

To celebrate mother's day, I booked a place at Jing Restaurant @One fullerton. It's a ala carte buffet. We had some difficulty looking for a place to park as I thought if we were to park at fullerton hotel it will be very ex. So in the end, we parked at uob building. Xihong said I shouldnt as there is a total of 5 person so its kind of tiring for my parents and Wan Qi.
By the time we arrived there, there were already many people, the good thing is we had made a reservation. They were very strict with making reservation. Even if you have made a reservation, but if you didnt confirmed the reservation when they gave you a call. The reservation is considered void.
The waiting time was real slow. However, there were some food on the buffet table. My mum especially loved the chicken soup with wine. She drank two bowls of it. She said it was very tasty. We had mussles too. They were quite delicious but my dad didnt want to try it. He said it looked yucky. Haha. My dad didnt eat much as the food was not to his liking. :( He had some tim sum, soon hock fish only.
The chilli crab and soon hock were very fresh, quite delicious, I would say. The soup were tasty too. But overall its not worth the money $45 per person.Their serving of food was real slow. When the food arrived, they arrived all at the same time. We were like rushing to finish up the food. And when we asked for the second helping, they took ages to serve the food. In the end, we just forget about the second helping and went out to take pictures. We took only one picture with the JIN SHA magnificient three towersas the background. Unfortunately, it was quite sunny so our faces were black in colour. Otherwise, the picture would have been great.
I guessed the next time round, we will go to Qian Xi restaurant as my mum and I thought the food there is quite nice. Or anybody has any place to suggest where they served good food?

A trip to Jurong Fishery Port in the wee hours

We went to Jurong Fishery Port on Mother's Day. We left our home at 12.25am yes AM cos the Jurong Fishery Port operates in the wee hours.
We always wanted to go so finally we went there yesterday. Both Wan Qi and I slept at 8plus at night and we woke up at 12 plus to go to the port.
We wore some old t shirts as we did some research from the net and understands that it can be quite stinky over there. I wore my old shoes there too, ready to throw them away.
When we were there we could see big ships there. Unfortunately, we could not move near to the ship as it was a restricted zone. We could only stand far outside to watch the workers loading the boxes of seafood.
At the market, there were many many fishes, prawn, squids, stingrays. We didnt buy any as we intended to go to Mac for supper. We merely tour around the place. By the end of the tour, my old shoes was already soaked with stinky fishy water.
But ok it was an experience to experience the life of a fishmonger. :>

1st May 2010 Wan Qi s 4 yr old Birthday

My beloved mum and daughter:>

Wan Qi teasing and playing with my mum. My mum is her playmate. :)

Wan Qi is 4 now. How time zoomssssss

As Wan Qi just recovered from her fever a few days back so we didnt want to go out to celebrate her birthday. In fact, it was a last minute decision to buy a cake as I was afraid that she will definitely eat it. But in the end, Xihong and I thought its ok, we just just buy one since its a once a year thingy.
Of course, Wan Qi still get to eat her cake because she begged for it. We gave in and she even had a second helping. :P But she's alright. (hee luckily)
