It's swimming time

Actually, I allocated Wednesday as swimming day for Wan Qi. But yesterday she took her nap at 4pm so as a punishment i cancelled her swimming activity. But i let her swim today and this time she used the big float and was having great time. She was screaming and laughing and even jumping. My mum and I especially me were so scared that she will fall.

The use of chopstick

Today, Wan Qi wanted to sit on my mum's lap to have her lunch even though she had hers. Then she said she wants to use the chopstick to eat rice. So we offered her the chopsticks. She managedto use the chopstick and spoon at the same time. She used the chopsticks to push the rice onto the spoon. I m very happy. And my mum is right there is no need to buy that training chopstick which cost me $10 and yet didnt produce any result. Sorry Guifen and Huili, even recommended to both of you. :P

The use of ROTAN on Wan Qi

Yap I had to resort to the use of rotan on Wan Qi as Xihong and I feel that we really need to discipline her or she will become a spolit and naughty girl.
These days she always like to beat her auntie( our maid) and Xihong too. Occasionally, she also beat me if she cant get her way. Jus that she will apologise immediately and sayang me. But for the rest, she will beat and insist on not saying sorry which made us really unhappy so we had to use rotan on her.
Plus, nowadays she always like to ignore your questions or simply say umm. For eg when we ask if she still want more rice, she will just continue to do her stuff or simply say um as though she were the big boss. And after telling her to say a proper sentence she will continue to say um um um which made us very angry. So we threatened to use the rotan.
Whenever we took out the rotan, she will respond in full sentence immediately. After that she will recite DI ZI GUI where it says that children must quickly respond to parents when they are being called and bla bla and says that she must respond quickly like what is stated in DI ZI GUI. So that shows that she understand it very well, therefore we thought we really need to discipline or she will climb up to our heads as she grow older.

Somehow it sort of works, now whenever we ask her a question, if there is a delay, we will ask her why didnt she respond she will quickly respond in full sentence. And after that she will speak to herself that she must respond immediately.
Sometimes, my little Wan Qi can really be such a chicky monster. But on the other hand, she never fails to melt my heart. Every day she will suddenly say I love you mama at different parts of the day and give me a kiss. :) So actually when we really need to use the cane its always heartache and lots of heartaches. But Xihong and I always tell ourselves we cannot XIN LUAN or she will be a monster in school next time.

Wan Qi's birthday gift from Gui Fen

Wan Qi was very excited last nite cos I told her that Aunty Guifen bought her a birthday present. When we reached home, the moment she saw the present with the froggy wrappers, she asked me to open the present.

I actually wanted to let her open it on her birthday but I guess I cant stop her so decided to open for her this morning. And she was thrilled by the auqadoodle mat, busy drawing on it so much so that she dont want to pose for me this morning. But managed to capture her drawing Ada mei mei in the evening. She also draw Dash gor gor brushing his teeth. haha. thanks Gui Fen for this wonderful gift.

Botanic garden

Brought Wan Qi to the Botanic Garden on sunday cos the weather is good.

We kicked the ball for quite some time. After which we went to explore the Botanic Garden.

We let Wan Qi climb the big tree, touch the granite fountain and see the mute swans on the Lake pond too. It's wonderful. Wan Qi like the Botanic Garden alot. And i wanted Xihong bring us there every Sunday. But that will means I cant bring Wan Qi to classes. Hee dont know if thats a good idea.

We went to Great world city on sat cos my sis wanted to shop there so Xihong drove us there. Wan Qi had fun in their FOOD JUCTION where they had these cushions which are actually the letters of the word FOOD JUCTION. So she had fun while having her dinner there.

Brushing time

I was complaining to Guifen that I had to cane Wan Qi cos she don want to brush her teeth. Even after using Lih ling as a threat that Lih ling will beat her if she doesnt brush, she is still not scared.

And then the next day, I saw Guifen posting a video clip on Dash brushing video clip which i really envy. Sign. Dash is such a good boy unlike Wan Qi.

But not to despair, I decided to use Guifen's video clip as a teaching material. Everytime when it's brushing time, I will ask Wan Qi if she wants to watch Dash Gor Gor brushing video and she loves it and it did lure her into brushing. Thanks thanks Guifen but the thing is HAO JING BU CHANG ZAI. Soon after that she doesnt have the interest and guess what I had to bring her to the corridor and let her brush there cos I said uncles (our neighbours) want to see her brushing her teeth and if she doesnt she will have to go to their house and stay for a day. It's quite useful

that very day.

However, after that its not cos Uncles neighbour always close the door and Wan Qi say uncle goes to work so SHE IS NOT AFRAID TO BE SEEN BY UNCLES. Oh my goodness I have to think of different stories lia. faint

Wan Qi is able to distinguish the left and right sandlers

Bought a minnie and a strawberry for Wan Qi while we were at Toa Payoh for her last shichida 's lesson that day. I put the strawberry on the left fake crocs and the minnie on the right fake crocs. Didnt want to buy the same cos i thought it will look a bit odd if i do that. And to my surprise, this actually helped Wan Qi to distinguish the left and right shoes to wear. Haha she told me strawberry on the left and minnie on the right in Mandarin.

Ada Mei Mei

Lih ling and I went to visit Weishan and Baby Ada that day. And I brought Wan Qi along cos she was always talking about Ada Mei mei after she gave the present to Ada on the day after Ada was born. In fact, she woke up one morning and told me that Ada mei mei is very clever and my maid ask her why. She said, "Because Ada mei mei reads story book or something". Haha she always like to use "Because ..."and she will think of some reasons.

So that very day when we went to Weishan's house she was very excited. In fact, she didnt have a good nap cos she knew she will go and see Ada mei mei.

When we were there she was sleeping but woke up after a while and she love Baby Ada. Patting her to sleep and stroking her gently. She even went to Weishan's room to find Baby Ada alone when we were eating curry chicken in the living room. Thanks Weishan's father and mother for the curry chicken. aiyo I am drooling now.

After the trip to Weishan house, for the next few days, Wan Qi was very busy showing Xihong, my mum my maid , the pictures of Baby Ada and her. She would tell them "there Ada meimei"

And for the next few days, she was also busy drawing Baby Ada. Er sorry but all her drawing is either circle or triangle or straight lines so Weishan sorry but Wan Qi always draw traingles when she wanted to draw Baby Ada. paiseh. :P

Cityview flats

Went to view the cityview showflats with my mum and Wan qi on 24 March. The showflats are beautiful but so were the flats. It costs about $660 ooo for a five room. Just went to see for fun and also because I wanted to live iwth my mum so we just go and see see look look.

Before we went into the showflat, I was telling my mum that Wan qi will have a fun time jumping and running again and she did of course. she liked the showflat so much that she went in a few times alone, my goodness this chicky monster of mine.

However, its really too ex. Too bad we chose to live in punggol if not I could have bought it and enjoy the 40k subsidy.

Anyway after the showflat, Wan Qi had fun time running in the open field.

Sengkang Library exhausting trip

Brought Wan Qi to Sengkang library two weeks ago and it was very very exhausting for me.

Simply because i wanted to take photos for her. She was not very cooperative, kept running and running. In fact, people must be wondering why am i at the library entrance for such a long time.I was so angry with her at some point of time, that I told her I will take pics of GOR GOR instead of her. And she started crying. Hee very bad hor. But the thing is that didnt stop her from running and jumping about at the library entrance. In the end, I had to give up with only this few unsatisfied photos. haha
