Wig

Went to my cousin's house yesterday and decided to let Wan Qi wear her wig. But throughout the whole process, she was laughing non stop saying that it was ticklish. But I managed to take a few photos. She even wore the wig while we walked to my cousin's house which was behind Punggol Plaza. Then while we were crossing the road, she shouted mama mama, I turned around and asked "What " and then I saw her wig on the road and I cant help it but laughed and laughed and laughed. Very bad hor. But Wan Qi also laughed with me. hee the Ding dong mummy and daughter combination.

She is really getting very pos sy I mean I dont know where did she learn all these orbit pose from. haha and look at the way she placed her feet.

GONG XI FA CAI

See this $5 strawberry shortcake dress is very sexy hor bareback somemore.

While we were on our way to my mum and dad 's place, I told Wan Qi that she needs to hold two mandarin oranges with both hands and say GONG XI FA CAI & XIN NIAN KUAI LE to gong gong and popo. But she shakes her head and say no shyly.
Then when we were in the lift, I reminded her again but she says no shyly again. But when the lift door opened, she ran to the door and shouted for my dad"Gong Gong, GONG XI FA CAI, XIN NIAN KUAI LE " In fact, she said three times. haha this girl. I was still thinking how can she be shy.
Then she greeted my mum to without being told. My mum and dad were so happy.
In the afternoon, the wind was very strong. I let Wan Qi put on a cardigan since she just recovered and is still coughing a little. My mum's place is very windy so strong that on the first day of CNY my dad 's finger was slammed by the door at the corridor. I was so shocked when he told me that while I was eating. Luckily, it was not too serious and my dad has recovered from it lia. As for Wan Qi, when she saw my dad bleeding, she cried and said"Gong gong cannot be bleeding Gong Gong cannot be bleeding."
In fact, everytime I changed the plaster for my dad, Wan Qi will cry and go and sayang my dad.
Isnt she sweet? She loves my dad and mum. In fact, she adores my dad. Having my dad around will saves me the trouble of coaxing her to drink medicine. With my dad around, my dad just have to tell her to drink medicine, she will drink it immediately without being told the second time. Plus, she will always want my dad to tell stories to her in the bedroom for 1 to 2 hours before she falls asleep. Maybe becos my dad is real patient with her. :)
In the evening, I went to SI MA LU to pray. I wish that in 2009 my dad and mum, Wan Qi, Xihong and myself will stay healthy and happy. :)

First Day of CNY @ Mum's place

We arrived at my mum's place around 3 pm - very late cos on New Year Eve I stayed up late till about 3am a usual practice done by my sis and all my cousins- SHOU SUI

Hence, the next day I woke up late. After letting Wan Qi took her oatmeal at about 8am, I went to back to sleep till 12pm :P

By 2 plus, we were all in RED ready to go and PAI NIAN. Why are we in red? Cos according to FENG SHUI, those who were born in the year of dragon and dog should wear red on the first day of CNY.

This year I didnt manage to find any clothing that I like so I ended up buying a RED t-shirt that cost only $5 from Punggol Plaza.

And Xihong bought his at BOSSINI.

Wan Qi's strawberry short cake dress is also bought from Punggol Plaza. And it's also $5. Cheap CNY dress. Ha

The ANG ANG family VS The Pink Panther family

My sis giving Wan Qi a very BIG ang bow.

She arent heavy she 's my sister

Wan Qi loves my sis's daughter Xuan Ning so much that she can forgo about going to the playground-her favourite place just to stay by her side. Hee this was taken during Chinese New Year Eve.

Her pyjamas was bought about 2 yrs old ago from overseas spree cost only $9. She cant wear it that time as the only stock left was size 100 . I bought it anyway thinking she can wear when she's bigger. How time files, she can wear
it now already. Its a kimono style with goldfishes, symbolises NIAN NIAN YOU YU.

Chinese New Year celebration at Dayspring

Wan Qi has been sick for the past three days. Reason being the stupid mummy actually let her eat a large fries in the afternoon and ikea french fries in the evening. Yes on the same day. Oh ya plus my brthday cake as supper. I am usually very stringent when it comes to her food but then I thought Wan Qi touch wood has not been ill for the past 7 months so I thought her body will be able to take that. Therefore, I was quite relax about it until the next morning, she started coughing and I thought gosh.

So I brought her for a massage and she recovered. But
I didnt let her wear diaper at night forgetting that I had forced her to drink plenty of water that nite so she pee and her whole body was wet. That was when she started coughing again and even had a slight fever at 37.5 the next day. Following that it even shoot up to 38 degrees.

I didnt let her attend school for 3 days until 23 Jan which is the celebration and of course after she is well again. However, this morning she actually asked me to accompany her to school.
I thought she will be all right so I just let her board the school bus. After I went home, I felt that something was just not right. Firstly, she wanted me to accompany her and Secondly, there was a change of bus and bus attendent and Thirdly she just recovered.

So I quickly get changed and hailed a cab to Dayspring Kindergarten. And guess what Wan Qi was crying. She was being carried by the teacher and the teacher was consoling her. My heart shattered when I saw her crying. I kept apologising to her for not being with her. Then she told me she is very hungry. I was like oh no and I quickly fed her with the home cooked oatmeal which I had prepared for her.

It was then that she stopped crying and suddenly she asked me "Where is Zhou Lao Shi? She is not here"and she started crying. I was thinking it must be her"imaginery teacher" cos I thought she wont remember her teacher for she only attended there for only a week. Then the teacher came and she consoled Wan Qi and yes she is Zhou Lao Shi. When I told her there Zhou Lao Shi is here, Wan Qi was so shy and buried her head into my TUMMY.

I am glad that she loves the teachers there. I must say the teachers at Dayspring are really caring. And because Wan Qi cried , I had the chance to watch them celebrate CNY. Then I understand why Wan Qi likes Zhou Lao Shi. She is so energetic and DRama mama hee can fight with my mum.

After a while, I left the school and returned to fetch Wan Qi again. Zhou Lao Shi commented that Wan Qi is very responsive and spontaneous and is a good girl. Of course, I am delighted to hear that. :>

Wan Qi enjoyed herself at the CNY celebration. She told me there was lion dance performance which I wonder if it's true. I probed further and asked her who are the performers for the lion dance. And she told me the teachers of course. ????? Well I am not sure about that but what I am sure is she truely enjoy herself today and that is what I valued the most. :>

A helpful 5 year old Jie Jie who came forward to help me feed Wan Qi with water.
Er and ya Wan Qi likes to do this victory sign when we take pics of her now. I wonder who taught her as I remember thinking that it is quite an orbit sign. Hey but when Wan Qi does it, I thought its kind of cute. Haha haha
very bias hor

The Brave Girl - Wan Qi

Wan Qi went to the school all by herself on Monday. She took the school bus by herself.
She told me she can do it by herself because she is a brave girl. I am proud of her but I cant help feeling a bit apprehensive whether she really can make it when the bus left me. Then I started to imagine her crying sadly in the bus.

Then I recevied a sms. It was sent by a mummy that I just befriended while standing at the school gate waiting for our gals. haha
It read : Your gal very solid..... so steady and enjoying herself very much.

Upon seeing this, I was relieved. At 12.20pm,
I went to pick her up. She hugged me so tightly with her
arms and legs. I asked her if she cried as I saw a pooh sticker
(All toddlers who cried will have a pooh sticker)
and she gave a firm reply: No. Then she began to tell
me, she consoled her new friend Kaylene by telling her to be brave

and don't cry.

During evening time, I decided to buy her a cute zebra
cupcake as a reward for being brave and caring.

In fact, she is such a protective Jie Jie. She will give her friend a pat, hug her friend by their shoulder when she see them crying which I had witnessed it in the kindergarten's school gate. :)

She loves mei mei and di di and are really protective. Once she saw a little girl standing on stools which are meant for playing, she automatically go and held them by their hand and walked her through all the stools.

She loves babies so much that she will rush to see the little ones in their prams when she saw them in the shopping centres. She even tell me to that she wants a brother and
a sister. In fact, she emphasis the AND word.
Unfortunately, Wan Qi's papa said stop at one lei. :(

Wan Qi's 1st Day of Sch at Dayspring Kindergarten

Today 8 Jan 09 is Wan Qi's first day in Dayspring Kindergarten. I got up early at 6.30am to prepare her breakfast fish oatmeal. Cos I suspect Wan Qi will wake up early today and she did she got up at 6.50am.

After she poo and wee, it was already 7.20, then I let her have breakfast. (oohs a bit late) After that I started to iron her uniform and prepared all the necessities. At nine plus, my sis came to my house cos she wanted to WEI my little girl Wan Qi DA QI hee so sweet of my sis. Which is why if I ever have another baby, I hope is a girl again cos I think two sisters will have closer relationship. :>

So while I was dressing up Wan Qi, wearing her socks for her and cutting her nails, my sis was busy taking pictures and videographing for us.

Wan Qi taking her school bus. See she is so excited about it. I'm glad the bus attendent is very kind and helpful.

Wan Qi's English teacher showed the children the very big terrapins that they had in Dayspring.
Wan Qi had her tea break. She asked for more servings twice. Haha she eats alot in school.

Toilet breaks for the children where they form choo choo train like this.

At 12.00pm, I stood at the school gate waiting for Wan Qi. She looked worried when she couldnt see me but when she saw me, she quickly broke into a big smile. At that point of time, I was so should I say touched, I don't know but the next moment I was thinking what if the 4th day she cant find me at the school gate and broke into tears. Suddenly, I felt my heart breaking just by thinking of that.
Overall, I must say I am very please with Dayspring cos they have plenty of teachers to look after the toddlers. They have a well planned system too. Wan Qi likes Dayspring very much and she looks forward to going tomorrow. The teachers are patient too and I must salute to the English- Indian teacher. She is so patient towards the pupils who cried throughout the 2 hours.
And I must say I am very proud of my little girl. Throughout the whole morning, she has been a very brave and well behaved girl. She listened to the bus attendent and was sitting beside a new friend. She listened to her teachers' instruction and when she was waiting for the rest of her friends to finish their bread, she just went over to the shelves to take a book and read. She didnt cry too when I leave the place and most of the time when saw me at the window, I would put up my thumb and said good job to her and she would give me her BIG SWEET SMILE. At the end of the day, Wan Qi's teacher had drawn two stars for her whereas most of the kids only have one. haha proud mummy.
I am so proud of her that I sms Xihong when we were back on the bus. And Xihong sms me and asked me to tell Wan Qi that he is proud of her and will bring her to the swimming pool this Saturday. Plus,he also surprised us by picking up Wan Qi at the bus drop off point. :>
Wan Qi is truly happy in Dayspring. After school, I could hear her laughing loudly with her new friend in the bus. When she returned home she was singing song, reciting her Tang poems, etc in a very good mood.
I hope she will continue to love this place as I believe a happy girl will always be a good learner.
