Our Pulau Ubin Trip @17May2008

We told Wan Qi we will bring her to sit on a boat to Pulau Ubin. She likes that cos she wanted to be the story character in Clifford the big red dog story.

We rented a triple seater bike for 1 hr at $6 an hour. It was Wan Qi's first cycling trip.

At first, we were quite apprehensive as Wan Qi needs to sit at the back of us but she is ok with it.

In fact, when Xihong cycled down the slope, she was not scared at all. She even shouted Yeh...with me.

Wan Qi picked some seashells and threw it into the sea. She also tried to take one seashell and put against her ear to listen to the sea. An imitation of the Clifford the big red dog story 's character too.

Home sweet home. Wan Qi fell asleep right after we reached the jetty.

The Orchid Garden @ Botanical Garden @ 10 May2008

Yap we brought Wan Qi to the Botanical Garden again. This time round we brought her to the Orchid Garden which cost us $5 per person. But think about it next time when she see orchid again she wont just say HUA but HU JI HUA. still remember this advertisement. okie it's a bit lame.

25 years old stool

Wan Qi loves this stool. It actually belongs to her dad. Haha so can you imagine. This two orange stools are 25 years old liao. haha I also had an eye for them. I love retro things will bring back one of these days.

The Babysitter

Wan Qi is very fond of pushing her pram so we just let her be. Each time there will be some aunties and uncles laughing at her. Some even tease her. haha

Unwrap the presents

We let Wan Qi unwrapped the present on 2nd May cos she fell asleep after the steamboat session too exhausted from the Mozart trip.

This was the kitchen set given to Wan Qi by my sis. My sis asked her hubby - Wan Qi pang pang yi zhang to draw a baby on mahjong paper to wrap the present and Wan Qi loves the baby but she didnt hesitate when we asked her to unwrap the present haha

Wan Qi's 2yr old Birthday Celebration

After the museum trip, Xihong went to collect Wan Qi's birthday cake while we started to prepare for the steamboat. Hee but my maid had prepared all the things so we just have to eat. haha!!!!

But we started very late cos my sis who had "DOZENS OF KIDS AND GRANDKIDS" are extremely late!!! She was supposed to bring the balloon so we cant start without her. hee!

Wan Qi loves the ballon that my sis bought her. In fact, she was crazy about it.

My dad bought Wan Qi this Hello Kitty dress suit so we let Wan Qi wear immediately to take pics. My mum bought some hair clips for her. Haha We all commented that how time files. She was just a tiny baby two years ago and now she is already a two year old girl. :)

I had trouble selecting her cake this time round cos Xihong forbid me to spend too much money on the cake. He said we should gave the money to my maid instead who went back this thursday. He said spending on cake is a waste of money while giving to the maid can help her financially since they are poor. :P

So i choose FOUR LEAVES but went to BEARY HIP to buy a bear to put on the cake. I told him she is 2yrs old mah. Then he told me last time i said she is 1 year old mah very important so next year i will say the same thing. haha. He wont understand only mummies will understand.

Wan Qi in her first Hello Kitty suit which was bought by my dad. My dad always like to buy clothes for Wan Qi. He is a sweet grandpa. Wan Qi loves my dad the most. He is the only person whom Wan Qi didnt say " I dont want XXX". Ya Naughty Wan Qi always like to say I dont want papa or mama or auntie etc except my dad.

Jus look at her chicky face, she loves to play with my brother in law.

Wan Qi fall in love with strawberries after eating a few at Auntie Lih ling's house. Haha so my sis bought her a box of big strawberries.

She is not fond of eating sweet things though so she didnt really eat her cake haha which is good i thought.

I like this photo that I took at Lih ling's house. Both of them are so cute! Right! Lih ling bought Wan Qi a birthday gift and we went to her house to collect it. It was a box of colour pencils, crayons and oil pastels. Wan Qi uses them to draw now. :> Thank you Auntie Lih Ling

Qi's 2 yr old Birthday @2008 activity in the morning

It has been quite sometime since i lasted posted. Actually, I wanted to post right after Wan Qi's birthday. Unfortunately, she had running nose and a cough after her birthday which had driven me to nuts. Cos this time round it's extremely long. Normally, she would recovered after a massage at YU GUO or after finishing two times of medicine. However, this time round it actually lasted for more than a week. Sign...................


Anyway, Wan Qi had a wonderful 2 year old birthday. She had been waiting and waiting for this birthday. One week before her birthday, she kept saying my birthday is coming, i want to open the box. I want the baby. Haha she wanted her new doll. Plus the kitchen set which was given by my sis. But I told her must wait till her birthday so she looks forward to her birthday very much.

The playground at National Museum is very interesting and colourful. So Wan Qi wanted to enter badly but we were going to the Child Prodigy exhibit so she was quite cranky and just looked at her monkey face.

On the day itself in the morning which is LABOUR DAY, we brought her to the National Museum for the Mozart: Child Prodigy and she had great fun over there. I must declare that that was the first time i stepped into the National Museum, didnt know that it is such a wonderful place for kids.

Basically, this exhibit is about Mozart's life and children get to do what Mozart did when he was a kid. It's all about his daily life thingy.

Wan Qi was jumping up and down on Mozart's round bed. Like writing. They used feathers to write. Mozart is a talented child. He started learning English German, Spanish and other languages at a tender age of 2yrs old.



The kids get to wear Mozart's time clothes. But Wan Qi is too small size plus she doesnt like it so didnt manage to take a pic of her in full costumes. It actually come with wigs too. But Wan Qi dont like so in the end mama wore the wig and took a picture with her haha.

Riding on a horse carriage is Wan Qi's favourite activity. Mozart actually set in the horse carriage for days which meant that he actually eat sleep and play when he was a small child cos he need to travel to different places to perform. Isnt it amazing to think that a small kid like him could do that. The horse carriage is very stuffy and a 3yr old actually was so disciplined to sit in the horse carriage for days.

Wan Qi also get to use Mozart's toothpaste. Haha during Mozart's time they actually have to pound their own tooth powder. Wan Qi joined in the pounding fun too.

Wan Qi insisted on going into the pools of balls which i did nt allowed due to HFMD but she insisted but in the end she just stayed inside without playing the balls. She didnt know how to play cos i never allow her to go inside such pools of balls as i thought they are extremely dirty.

There was a MILO truck outside the National Museum so Wan Qi had her first taste of COLD MILO. After that we proceeded back home for her small birthday celebration.
