Ocean Park
Right after we came back from Macau, we took a quick breakfast at hongkong tea restaurant, local type. And seriously I think our singapore "hong kong tea restaurant" serve better food.
Basically we order 2 sets of breakfast which each cost $5SGD and it was yucky. But it was Wan Qi's first time eating instant noodle - to be precise she didnt eat the instant noodle but rather macroni with ham but I think the soup was instant noodle soup cos taste just like my instant noodle soup- unhealthy breakfast so she thought it was delicious. She finished up the whole bowl of macroni. My goodness. I cant finish the instant noodle cos I think it was yucky.Xihong order pork chop for breakfast- it was huge and tasted alright only.
Then we headed to Ocean Park. First by mtr then by bus. Basically, Hk transport system is quite friendly. It was very clear, we have no trouble finding the bus.
Just like Singapore, they also have many rules. We took a picture of what are not to be done in the bus.
In Ocean Park, we first went to take the Tower which allows us to see the scenery around Ocean Park.
After that, we went to watch the dolphin show. Followed by underwater world, kids entertainment area where Wan Qi spin and won a duckie soft toy.On our way back by cable car, we waited for quite a long time cos those inconsiderate China tourists jumped queues even though they were scolded by officials. They were not ashamed at all. I was furious and together with the hongkongers, we joined forces and used cantonese to scold them. :P
The cable car ride was scary. The wind was howling outside and the cable car was shaking quite violently. I kept saying scary and Wan Qi had to hug me and console me. haha.
After the ride, we were lucky to be able to see the pandas as there were extended hours. So at least this ocean park trip was not wasted. We managed to see the cute pandas who were eating the bamboo leaves.
On the whole, Ocean Park was a so so place. We were disappointed that we are not able to catch the latest attraction where we can dine in a restaurant in an underwater world concept. Those who are planning to go HK next year might be able to see this new attraction. :)
