Wan qi s last Sports Day in Living Santuary Kindergarten
Wan qi had been looking forward to today! She had an enjoyable time but I was not able to share the joy with her in her school. So sad! The agony of a working mummy!
My mum went on my behalf and she told me LSK did a good job! Their Sports Day is a success. All the children were very happy and so were the parents. Parents also get to join in the games with their children. Boo Hoo I was not able to go!!!
Actually this is not only a sports day for the children. It's also a day for them to sell their handicraft and all the proceeds will go to St Luke hospital. It's actually a project thing where the kids went to St Luke hospital during their field trip and after that make handicrafts to be sold during Sports Day. I think it's really an creative and meaningful project! Not only do the children learn to be compassionate kids, they also learn to be entrepreneurs!!!thumbs up for the teachers and Principal Mrs Elsie Tan a very hands on and dedicated principal:)
Oh ya in addition to the handicrafts, each group of students also come together to write a short book about Toh Chin Chye and Goh Keng Swee. It's really impressive. Every student becomes a writer and an illustrator. The thing is LSK really publish it like a real storybook. I think it's truly a very authentic experience for the young 6year olds.
I am really glad I made the choice of sending Wan Qi to LSK:)
