Holiday ending soon.

Sign... holiday is ending soon. So sad. But I think Wan Qi had a fun holiday during this December. Firstly, she went to Night Safari. Then she went to Taiwan.

When we came back from Taiwan, my brother, eldest sis ,sis in law and all my nieces came to stay with us. (Yes we all squeezed into my mum's 4 room flat as my flat is still under reno. Gosh! But it was great fun for the kids) They brought Wan Qi to Sentosa and Science centre while I went for my medical check up.

After that, we brought Wan Qi to Jurong Bird Park. We find that Jurong Bird Park has improved a lot in terms of its attraction as compared to 2 years back when we brought Wan Qi there when she was 1 year old. We brought her there because we bought the 3in1 package. Why?? Because the silly mummy which is me thought that we need to buy the Jurong Bird Park ticket in order to go to the Dinosaur thingy.

2 days later, we brought Wan Qi to the zoo. Unfortunately, it rained when we were on our way to the fragile forest so this time round the zoo trip was a lousy one.

On Christmas, we brought Wan Qi to West Coast park as my sis in law wanted to bring her 2 kids there so we thought it will be fun for the kids to be together. And true enough, they had great fun. We bought a bicycle for Wan Qi and we brought it to the park. It comes with a back seat so Wan Qi's cousin (4 year old plus nephew)actually drove her around the park. It was such an adorable sight. Then they took turns to cycle and skate on the scooter. Didnt know that West Coast park have so many things for kids. It has different types of playground. There is a big field too where people go there and fly kites. Many people pitched their tents there too. I think its quite an ideal places for kids to play there. We promise Wan Qi to bring her there again. :>

Overall, I think Wan Qi had a lot of fun this holiday. I hope she will continue to be a cheerful and happy girl when she is back to school - her new school Bethesda Kindergarten.

I'm a dentist

We were at BBBoss for about 2hrs and every occupation has a designated timing so we actually had to plan which occupation to chose for Wan Qi. For the last 30 mins, we decided to let Wan Qi try to be a dentist. I am glad we had chosen this occupation for her. The dentist actually taught the children how to brush correctly and every kid will get to have a set of denture and a toothbrush to practise. Then the dentist acually told them the consequences of not brushing their teeth properly. He actually has a set of ugly dentures and a set of neat and clean set of dentures for the kids to compare. Next, the dentist will actually let them go over to the manuquein and let the kids have some fum with the dentist's tools.
And guess what, Wan Qi actually knows how to brush her teeth when she is back in Singapore. Yippee

I'm a singapore girl

Wan Qi boarding the plane
In the aircraft itself. The kids hostress will stand at the doorway to welcome us.

Wan Qi welcoming us. Shortly, she will served us with magazines and blanket. She is a bit blur at first, cant remember what to say. Later on, she then remember.

Here comes The kiddy pilots !
Ha ha but Wan Qi didnt wear the signature KEBAYA dress since we are in Taiwan. This is the Taiwan air hostress suit. It's so real. They actually have an aeroplane model where the kids really go inside and serve the passengers (who are actually these children air hostress parents)
They will be trained to say things like"Welcome to zhong hua hang kong". When they forget, there will be a big sister to prompt them. Even the pilots are trained to talked like a real pilot in an airplane. Cool!

I'm the fireman

Wan Qi is listening attentively to the big Fireman explaining the safety precaution that they should take to avoid catching fire in the house.

Wan Qi sliding down the pole, ready to put on their helmet and hop on to the fire engine.

Off they went in a fire engine. Wan Qi is the one in the centre with her mouth wide open.
Wan Qi in ACTION, putting off the fire. She's the shortest one.

Job done!!!!!!!

Wan Qi is very excited about being a fireman. Even before we went to BBBoss, she was already praticing to be a fireman. She pretended that there is fire in the national park , hurrying there to put off the fire.

I'm the nurse in the nursery!

This is the second occupation that Wan Qi tried in BBBoss. It's actually meant for 5 years old but since Wan Qi loves babies, I just let her try. It's a bit tough for her as she need to change the baby's diaper but feeding and burping the baby, she is quite ok, just need to be corrected for positioning. But she needed help when she had to wear the baby's diaper. But overall she likes it.
See at the end of the day, she will received her pay from the big nurse. And yes she handed to Xihong again.

I am an astrounaut!

We brought Wan Qi to Baby Boss as featured in the tv on the last day as it was a free and easy day for us. It was such a good experience for all of us. We paid NT1520 in all. Tourists actually enjoed a 20% discount. It's really worth the money.
I was talking to one mummy and we both agreed that it was so fun that we wish we can join in. haha.
Basically, they will wear the costume and there will be a guide to teach them some general knowledge about the work aspect of the different occupation. Each place is just like a real working place. So Wan Qi actually went into a rocket and went to the outer space to collect some rocks to do some research.
After they had finished, the astronauts actually received a warm welcome from the parents. And there after then they will received a NT10 as salary.

Sun cake DIY making

Wan Qi s drooling Sun Cake.
We didnt managed to see all the steps as Wan Qi awoke from her sleep so we missed the steps. Bad instructor= Losy student led to drooling Sun Cake. kekeke

Hoo Hoo put them to the hot oven

We went to the famous Sun Cake factory to bake the Sun Cake. It's fun! O but it's not easy as we thought, must remember the steps if not will end up having 'drooling' sun cake.

End product- pack into a nice box.

Rei Suei Leisure Farm

We went to the leisure farm where they produce cow's milk. Unfortunately, due to H1N1, we couldnt see the cows just the goats and horses. Wan Qi fed the goats with the nearby weeds and they seem to be hungry. But the greatest loss is actually not being able to pluck the oranges due to a short of time.

We were not told that we can actually pluck the oranges. By the time, I get to know from the old man that we can pluck the oranges, it's time to go. Sign, the old man should have told us earlier, I am sure the rest of the tourist dont mind paying NT200 to pluck the oranges. In the end, I bought 3 oranges from him but he gave me more as he said I overpaid him. His oranges are very very tasty although the outlook doesnt look nice.

The aborignal culture village

Over here, we get to know more about the aborignals in Taiwan. After that, we went to take the cable car and took some kiddy rides.

Crying Scene behind the Happy pose

She looked happy rite? But behind this scene is actually not. She was making a big fuss before this. I am not sure if your child behaves this way. Recently, whenever things are not done her way, even if you correct it, she will still make a big hoo ha. Very very angry about this. So actually she was constantly scolded.

Wan Qi and Instant Noodle

No, Wan Qi has never eaten instant noodle. I guess nowadays people will not give instant noodles to kids ya. But i thought this is very cute. It's a corner inside a shopping mall where they exhibit the making of instant noodles. Aiyo, look at my girl's pose. So drama one lo.

Monkey faces at CHI SHING LAKE

Wan Qi's favourite playmate. A very sweet and obedient JIE JIE from Hong Wen Primary.
She is Wan Qi's nanny. haha so we managed to have ER REN SHI JIE for a short while.

This is actually not a lake but a sea. Unlike the usual seaside, the beach area does not have sand but are made up of all kind of stones. Wan Qi said she wanted to take three stone back as souvenir (of course in Mandarin) but after walking for a while she threw them for fun. And later cry for it when we left the beach. Haiz, kids are kids.
And during this trip, Wan Qi kept making funny faces while we took pictures of her. So frustrating.

Day 2 at National Center for Traditional Arts

Bing Tang Hu Lu but its a fake one. Hee didnt try this as I think it must be very sweet.

Bought a giant candy floss for Wan Qi but she doesnt like it. And poor daddy and mummy had to finish it.

This is a multi functional park which helps to promote traditional folk craftmanship, arts, drama, and dance. So Wan Qi get to see many mascots in action. Plus she also get to play some traditional games.

2nd day at Yeh Liu

In this tour group, there are many cutie kids so Wan Qi had many playmates in Taiwan.

We went to Yehliu the next day and saw the famous Queen's head rock. Wan Qi had an enjoyable time there not because she appreciated these rocks but rather she can go up and down the hill.

Taiwan historical museum

Ice kachang shop

Provision shops with many kids goodies.

We went to this place on the first night. It shows the historical sight of olden Taiwan. Quite an interesting place for the kids as well. In fact, this Taiwan trip is really meant for kids. Basically Taiwan is quite a kid's friendly place as in there are many places for the kids to play and have fun. This trip for per kid is about $800 plus. Very worth it! I had chosen Nam Ho because there are more activities for kids. Thumbs up for their services.
