Wan Qi's First Class Excursion

Today Dayspring organises an excursion for Wan Qi and her classmates to Punggol Plaza NTUC to buy fruits.

As an anxious parent, I went to NTUC at about 10:45am and I was right they were there shortly after. They are so adorable. Hee. I hid at a corner cos I dont want the teachers to be frightened that this kiasu mother actually followed them. haha. Then I saw Wan Qi's classmate's mum as kiasu as me. haha. Actually, I just want to see the cute sight. Its really very cute to see a whole bunch of toddlers going to supermarket to buy fruits.

Wan Qi's teacher Mrs Rai actually sat at a corner with the children to teach them the different fruits that are in the NTUC. She is a very caring, patient and encouraging teacher. Thumbs up for her. Then the teachers brought them to see other things too. I saw Wan Qi taking Yakult and subsequently the rest of the students followed her too. The poor teacher had to put the packets of Yakult back one by one. I also saw Wan Qi choosing apples, her favourite fruit and her Chinese teacher actually bought them and put in a plastic bag. :)

After that they went back at about 12pm. They are very organised. I think there were 8 teachers accompanying these little tots. Quite a sight at punggol plaza.

That's the reason why I had chosen Dayspring for Wan Qi. They have quite a few activities for the children. For Term one, they acutally have New Year celebration, Satay day where the satay men come and PENG satays for the children. Then they have laundry days where everybody is involved. The pre nursery students like Wan Qi are taught how to wash their hankies.

So I guess Dayspring is really not bad. Quite a lot of activities where they involved the pre nursery students too. :)

My Little Wan Qi has grown up

My little Wan Qi has grown up. She is now 93cm tall and weighs 12kg. She is a petite girl like me although I hope she can be taller next time like her daddy. :P

My little Wan Qi has grown up umm in terms of her language ability. Just now I saw her holding a piece of my oral practice paper. And she just rattled off "This is a library. This boy is putting his leg on the table. He is dirtying the library table. This boy is eating in the library and it is not allowed to eat in the library. He is a naughty boy"

I went over thinking it must be her imaginery talk. But I was wrong she has just describe the oral picture! Isn't she great! But again she was speaking in Mandarin, must really made her speak more Emglish.

Then we had another conversation while I was eating my nonya dumpling. Then she took my handbag and said

Wan Qi: Mama, I m going to work.
Mama: Ok see you.
Wan Qi: (After a while she came over) mama, I m back.
Mama: Oh you re back, you must be tired.
Wan Qi: Yes , I am. Then she took my handbag and walked off again
Mama: Where are you going?
Wan Qi: I am going to work again.
Mama: Wow you are so hardworking.
Wan Qi: Ya because I want to earn more money.
Mama: ???????!!!!! Didnt know she will have this answer.
Then Wan Qi walked over to the living room.
I followed her to see what she is doing. She saw me and she asked me
Wan Qi: Mama, why are you at my working place?
Mama: I was lost at word for a while and said Oh I want to check if you are being lazy at work.
Wan Qi: No la I am very hardworking.
Mama: kekeke

On the other hand she is in her terrible three now. She can be a little monster at times. She will scream and shout. And when I ignored her she will start to apologise and said she will not do it again. But the very next minute she will throw her temper again.

Umm but secretly I hope she will remain at her 2yrs plus age. Time really files!!!! I cant bear to see her growing so fast sometimes. haha
